How to prepare for generator delivery

A little preparation means the generator is placed correctly and running soon after it arrives.

Heavy equipment carried on a flatbed trailer

Before the truck arrives

  1. Check access

Gates, gravel roads, snow, low wires and tight corners. Tell us about anything that affects a truck or trailer.

  2. Choose the spot

Level, dry and clear, away from windows and doors. Mark it. See noise and placement.

  3. List the load

Have the equipment list ready. It lets us confirm the right class and the cables or panels you need.

  4. Plan the connection

If the generator feeds a building, book an electrician hookup so it is ready on delivery day.

  5. Have someone present

Someone should be on site to receive the delivery and confirm the location.
